Thoughts on Trans X. Input much welcomed on this one

I've seen it get 3 GMC's home. And not home twice. To me. Worth the $6 to try. Would I drive it across town after the Trans X got me home? BIG NO. But, that's me. And MY Comfort Zone. My CZ would never allow me to do that. Ever. Mike got lucky that next year. ( Sometimes it's best to be lucky. Then good. ) GRIN.
I've seen owners put the Trans X in as a preventive measure. OK. But I have reservations on that one. What ye all say?

If it worked well, I believe the fluid manufacturers might include
something similar in their additive package. But, perhaps is is not very
long lasting, giving credence to frequent fluid changes. I do not know this
for a fact, just a wag.

Out of desperation were i know that i can't hurt anything more than what may have already been done....why not if..... its the difference of walking
or driving.

As a preventative measure, for me, not a chance.....if it was really good stuff the oil manufacturers would already be using it....JMHO

I am unsure what Trans-X is. So I am not able to make any good thoughts about it.

It sounds like it has a quality that when used under certain circumstances, it can get your
vehicle moving again. It doesn't sound like something that you would add like a oil suppliment.

Too many people use that term, "if it were that good, the manufacturers would be using it".
That is not totally accurate and it is used in too many senarios where it does not fit the
situation. its just a non productive comment.

Depending on what Trans-X is and its creative intent, it could be useful, or not.
If there is more information showing Trans-X is beneficial, I will carry it as well. If
it is just another myth, then I won't.

You must go by the facts, too many are too fast to dismiss ideas without any information
behind it.

Anything you add to an oil that is not part of the additive package in there already is not needed or it would be already there. Same with
fuel.....this is why they have certifications/classifications. (Unless specified by the OEM such as for limited slip diffs or you have an inferior or
sub par oil and are adding missing ingredients)

Trans-X is one of 2 things....a product that makes rubber swell up or it makes friction material swell. ( maybe even both in this case). Nether of
which is what you want in your trans unless something is not correct in the first place.

Do add-in additives have a place? Sure depending on what the condition is....but in general they are not needed and do more harm then good. Sometimes
the choice is better than walking but one must understand the risk.
