Thoughts on rear sway bars

Ol' Moby the Motorhome might corner a little better with them. What are your experiences?

Glenn,

If you install the big ones like sold by Caspro, forget leveling from side
to side. One might help and not eliminate leveling, but with two, both
there's no lateral freedom. JMHO after having an X-PB with them.

Stiffer air bags, such as the Quad Bags or Alex Ferrara's new set are
probably a better choice. I've been very happy with the Leigh Harrison
4-bags on my X-Birchaven for the past 16 years.

Glenn,
I have used them and feel they help in cornering as well as in high winds.
Also a stronger one in front helps.
It is when the coach lifts up, is where it is noticeable.
The Quadra Bag System settles the back end a lot, along with new shocks,

I've got them on both rear "axles", and really like the way the coach goes around corners. I never drove my coach without the extra swaybars though,
so it's hard to say just how much better it handles, but right now the main limitation on cornering is the spontaneous emptying of the overhead
cabinets. ;) The PO said he installed the extra swaybars to counter some side-to-side movement when towing. I added the Straight Track devices on
the middle wheels, which also helped the handling (a lot, particularly on roads with pronounced truck ruts).

FWIW, I've been able to level at some pretty un-level campsites, though no doubt it does have an effect.

I have swayers along with Idencorp [?] quad bags. Handling is very good, and I havent had issues with leveling.
No frame of reference since they were on when I bought it. I had driven a number of GMS years ago when I was in the business, but its hard to make a
direct comparison

I plan on the bigger front bar as I'd like more roll stiffness.
Not sure about the rear bars.
But I know my coach does a little waggle going into a turn, it oversteers a bit then settles down.
not sure if something is loose or I'm just picky

I agree with Ken. I have LH's 4 bag system (14 years now) and took the rear
sway bars off as they were fighting the air bags. Handles nice now and levels ez
side to side.

I have a PB and added the larger front bar and two rear bars...handles very well!

I have no problem adjusting either side of my coach and do so regularly.
 
I installed double rear sway bars I got from Alex Sirum. I also installed their 4 bag system. I have a stretch and that extra 2 feet hanging out back made it much harder to handle than my 78 Royale. The combination really made a huge difference. I was told don't bother but I am glad I made the change. No problems leveling side to side. Do miss bigger lift front to back from 4 bag. Just have 2000 miles on changes but so far so good.
