"Gary,
Tell me about the Thompson 317 pump. Where do you purchase
them? What are the specifications? do they have a web address
or are they sold through RV dealers."

Last year Scott did a group buy for the net, however I have spoken
to others who have purchased the 317 and its sister pump the 315
(if I remember correctly the difference had something to do with
either a lower maximum pressure or duty cycle) through local
channels.

They are small enough that I was able to mount 2 of them and a
vacumn pump in the same area as the original Dana (under the
drivers feet)

I will check to see if I can find some specifications etc.

Regards

GMCnet member Scott carries Thomas 317 compressors. He charges
$165.00. It is on my shopping list.

In a recent Cinabar newsletter there was a mounting bracket for the 317
offered for $20.
Did you need this bracket for the installation ?.

Dick

The footprint of the 317 is a bit larger than the OEM compressor, and it
has a different bolt hole configuration. A lot of the netters have made
their own adaptors, but Cin has seen a need and offered a solution. If I
remember correctly, The 317 etc was offered on the net before Cin picked it
up as a replacement.

Thanks for the reply . I was in on the net buy and my 317 is sitting on
a shelf in the garage waiting for me to find time to switch over from
Dana.(still working good but very noisy) Just wanted to have all the
bases covered when I find time to do it. The mascerator is sitting next
to it waiting for its turn. Man I need to retire, no time for my toys.

I understand - I still have a couple of projects that I haven't begun.
Some like the mascerator took longer to find the right parts than it did to
do the work. The help you find here on the net can make a big job a lot
simpler. The wide-spread use of pictures (now available) is super.
Sometimes, when we complete a job, we wonder why we thought it was going to
be so hard.
