Should be helpful. You can also scroll down on the page, click the no-sound
link and go silent. Most decent web pages have this 'mute' feature.

I don't know about Netscape, but in IE, select:

view | Internet Options | Advanced (scroll down to multimedia) then remove
the check from the "play sounds" box. Click OK.

The next time you start IE, no sounds. I'd suspect that Netscape has a
similar option.

Thanks Mark, That sounds much better. I haven't found a similar feature in
the Netscape menus. On a lot of web pages Netscape will tell me that it's
loading an application then go off and waste a lot of time loading something
without giving the option to break out of the process. Most of the time I
don't even have any idea what it spent all of that time doing. I just know
that I was sitting there waiting for it do something that I didn't even want
it to do. I think this a good example of a situation where the guy doing the
designing don't do any driving.

I noticed from your postings that you're in North Webster, In. I'm located
just west of Kokomo so that makes you the closest GMCneter that I know of.

When I was little my parents used to take me to Big Barbee lake. A couple
of years ago when I was between RVs we ate at the little restaurant right on
the water and stayed in the resort just up the hill from it. Come to think
of it that mode of travel was a lot easier and a lot cheaper.

Enjoy

Dick
