Hi Rick,

I worked under my GMC today installing a macerator pump.

It was a wonderful day for an old shade tree mechanic, our temps were in
the 60's.

I remember we talked about Thermasan systems awhile back.

I have not found one yet, and do hope you have had better luck.

If not, I am now thinking about buying a metering pump and building a
similar system. Have you considered this approach ?

It wouldn't seem too big a project, if one is willing to leave out some of
the sensors and controls the old Thermasan system had to help make it idiot
proof.

I would plumb my macerator so I could churn the tank contents before I
turned on the metering pump.

I don't recall a readily available fitting with a stainless screen to
install in the exhaust pipe unless Thermasan still has these parts
available.

I assume this screen is to hold the big chunks so the exhaust can burn it
thoroughly. It would be nice to know what mesh Thetford used.

An alternative is to install a recirculating toilet, but I like the
Thermasan idea better. It is greener, cleaner and probably has less odor.
(unless some one is tailgating and I switch it to turbo mode.)

Thought I would run this idea by you for any comments you might have.

Years ago, in my Cortez days, I had a problem with my Thermasan system
contributing to premature exhaust pipe rust due to the moisture. But
this diagnosis was by a local muffler shop
