Anyone familiar with the Thetford "THERMASAN" system for emptying holding
tanks into the exhaust manifold that was on some GMC's

It was approved by government agencies so must have been a safe alternative
but I have never seen one.

I have some doubts about on the highway, but it would seem a better idea for
use on boats.

Don't think that marine manifolds are hot enough since they are water
cooled. Might end up with a smelly exhaust.

Rick,

I scanned the archives and only your previous post came up for "Thermasan".
I'll try again with Netscape but maybe I missed out on that discussion.

I am interested, so if you run into more than one "Thermasan" for sale,
please let me know. I will do likewise.

It would be build a similar unit but it would not be approved by all the
appropriate authorities. I met an MD in Florida several years ago who had a
home brew system on his fish boat. Said it worked well.

Ecologically the idea seems cleaner than present processing and sending it
down the river.

I am curious whether there is a "pig truck" aroma when using it.

Could you summarize your findings for me?
