Well guys,

I just got back from our warehouse after five hours of dealing with Santa
Cruz police (nice folks). Both of our GMCs were broken into last night in
what appears to be a rash of RV hits. Nothing in the Royale to steal except
the house batteries (new golf cart batts).

They hit the jackpot in the Palm Beach. Close to $2,000 in tools, and more
in upgrade parts etc. The real pain is the amount of time that it took
getting parts etc together - and I'm in the middle of a number of repairs
and improvements. Fortunately no damage was done - just theft.

What are folks using for alarms on their GMCs?

Thanks,

Henry

Damn! That's 2 this week. I sure hope they catch the low lifes.

No alarms, but our coach will NOT start unless wife or I show 'em how. Just
enough insurance for what little we have to protect.

Let the net know what parts you need. Maybe we can come up with some quick
replacements.

Yep. Right up to the point where I needed the space to put my daughter's
wrecked truck. Ironic thing is that I had almost everything cleaned up from
that project (not done just cleaned up) and was going to put it back into
the warehouse tonight...

Me too!

The thiefs pressed the driver's side mid window in far enough to pop the
window lock loose and slid the window forward. Lucky for me they didn't
break the window, but I can't figure out why/how.

Thanks for the offer. Mostly niggling little detail things that I found
here and there. Others are a quick phone call to Cinnabar or Jim Bounds.

Look for a local, somebody has been watching.....

One of my schematics describes a kill switch. It's designed to confuse
the thief as well as kill the ignition.
Whenever the brake is applied the ignition is killed .... release the
brake the ignition is alive.

No anti-theft device is foolproof. If one designs an anti-theft device,
someone else will design around it. Computer virus versus anti virus is a
great example.

>Camping World sells what I think is a similar secutity system.

Thanks for the thoughts and offer to share your parts. I'm looking into
current technology alarms for RVs.
