After two months at Dae Verius' I have my GMC back. Work included:
New knuckles
Hubs
bearings and seals
** All this was necessary due to the Wallace bearings which were basically
spun. Went back to stock configuration **
CV boots
1 ball joint on drivers side
Air conditioner compressor had broken shaft, blown hose. Converted to 134A
R/R evaporator, installed kit I had from Clasco
new belts
timing chain
water pump
rebuild carb
* secondaries weren't working due to mud daubers
* carb had been rebuilt before, the epoxy plug just fell out. Dale center
punches the metal plugs until the seal. He tests by filling plug on bottom
of carb with dish soap, forces airs from insde carb with air blower, when it
doesn't bubble, it doesn't leak. No more gas smell inside
scarfed up a stock aircleaner to replace Moroso that PO installed. Much much
Quieter!!!
R/R clean, grease rear bearings, replace seals
New KYB rear shocks
dropped, cleaned fuel tanks, replace one bad sender
New bushings in rear bogie, busings in terrible shape, pins OK (thank God!)
Fixed numerous air leaks, air compressor cycles every 1.5 hours while
traveling instead of every two minutes
Adjusted ride height

Now that I have it back I have a million questions that I want to pose, one
at a time, on the GMC Net.
