The power of the GMC net seems to go beyond simple mechanics. Today I
tried to explain to a friend, who is the Youth Director at the YMCA I
work at about the GMC net.
I told him about the information that is so readily shared.
I told him about Paul Bartz comming to my assistance when broken down on
the side of I-84...He spotted me in the rain and dark accross 6 lanes of
traffic.
I told him about Bob Morris and our swap of visits and seats.
I told him about Dave Greenburg and his registry and the way he helped
me find the bunk beds, so willingly delivered to my by Jim Penrod.
I told him about Roger and the outpouring of concern for his beloved
wife, having never met her (or him, for that matter).
He told me "I would like to say that this is the usual way things
happen, but I can't. It sounds like a great bunch of human beings"
I thought a second an told him "You do this every day, you just do it
naturally"
I guess that we are a great bunch of human beings. To me this is the
highest compliment I can receive....I am a human being and am proud of
it!
