Previously Onan was having starter issues, but, I had the starter rebuilt (thanks to @Carl Stouffer for the referral). With the new starter, it would turn over, but wouldn't start. Jumped the fuel pump and nothing happened. A bad fuel pump. Got a new one from Applied, and she started right up!

Now all that's left to do is hook up fuel and electricity (since Onan was a transplant, all cables and fuel lines had been severed ( to get her running I had a battery and a gas can on the ground)). I need to hook up the fuel line to the tank ( OP removed the original fuel line for unknown reasons). And I need to hook up the electrical to the female plug in the "external utilities compartment".

The wires from the plug in the utilities compartment are red, white, black, and copper. The power from the onan is yellow, and yellow.

Not counting ground, there are three conductors coming from the plug, but only two coming from Onan... how do I proceed?

On top of the Onan is a circuit breaker in a metal box (on a 6Kw in a 26ft). If the breaker has a toggle, switch the breaker OFF. If it has a button to reset I'm guessing you will need to open the box and disconnect one lead from the breaker.

Using your Ohm meter, check for continuity to ground from each of your white power wires. You should read Zero ohms to ground on one wire and Open on the other. The wire reading Zero ohms to ground connects to the White (Neutral) wire in the 3 wire cable. The wire reading Open to ground connects to both the Red and black wire (Hot) wires. The Onan delivers a single phase 120VAC. So on your 50 Amp plug, you will read 120VAC on both Hot lines to Neutral, but zero volts between the Hots. There is no 240VAC available.

The bare ground wire connects the the metal casing of the Onan for ground.

Don't forget to flip the breaker back ON or reconnect the breaker wire.

Here is the wiring diagrams for the 120VAC inside the Onan and outside to the plug.
