Arch, I just love to hear from owners who are out on the road using their
GMCs the way they were meant to be used!

Congrats on your great learning experiences. Your story about your
shakedown cruise should inspire other owners to stop tweaking their
coaches and get on the highway too.

The admiration for our classics that you have seen this trip may be what
keeps us pouring money into these girls. I guess this is recognition by
your peers that you have good sense and good taste.

I have been experiencing this phenomena for 25 years and I still can't
get used to it.

This Sunday we leave for our summer trip which will be most unusual for
us. We usually travel anywhere from 10,000 to 15,000 miles each summer
(altho in 1977 we covered 30,000 miles for the year) but this year we
will be doing a little driving and a lotta sittin'. Gas prices are the
reason plus the old girl is getting tired...302,000 miles on this engine!

Ya'll have a great summer and do what Arch is doing. Stop playing with
your GMCs (except for Scott Nehoda) and get on the road!

I may be able to find a phone connection and if so my incomptetent
prattle will be provided for whatever value it has.

If you get lonely, my cell phone is 561-262-0233 but I don't know as yet
whether Nextel has a tower in the Georgia hills.

The credit card, as always, is clentched in Jan's bony little claw!
