The empty coach

This may be of interest to a few of you. I have now "gutted" my coach and
the weight is as follows:

Total: 7918 lbs

Front: 3762 lbs

Back: 4158 lbs

Coach has no propane tank, no black or grey or fresh water tank. Gas tanks
were 3/4 full. Deduct weight of trailer hitch (which is coming off), Onan
generator (which is disappearing) and me (which is definitely not
disappearing) and the weight is down to 7200 lbs. The gutted interior (it
was a custom built unit of questionable design aesthetics) weighed 1914
lbs. All of the weight came off the back bogies which previously weighed in
at 6072 lbs (the couch and dinette chairs had already been removed). I must
say that I certainly noticed the weight difference when accelerating.
