Grille looks good but I have to redo the paint somtime. Too much in a
hurry... you can guess the rest. Grill is held into place with 4 springs
instead of nuts and bolts.
Compromised on my hatchcover. Still lots of resin as that's what I made the
bubble out of but refrained from fiberglassing the bottom. Instead I used
contact cement to glue one full unbroken sheet of the ceramic paper on the
underside and then cut into my bubble and glued ceramic paper inside that as
well. This is the stuff from Eaton. Very easy to work with. Time will tell
whether it'll stay up there on its own though I do have 4 washered screws in
where I have an extra fold. It's very light so I'm optimistic it'll stay up
there.
I also relocated my air intake to back by the engine instead of out front.
I'm hoping for a quieter cockpit area. Guess I'll find out tomorrow if all
the work of redoing hatch, etc was worth it.
Almost ready for departure. Greased, oiled, wheelnut torque checked.
Checking of tire pressure to go and then it's cleanup/loadup time.
