The one in the 73 Puzzle Mobile that I'm building. Heats fine, and no leaks. BUT. I don't need someone to buy it. Then on the way home. Have the tank start leaking. So. What/where do I get one. I need to have this GMC find a new owner. Before I try to replace the good body for a new one. Bob Dunahugh A true sucker for unloved/ignored GMC's.

I have a 77 GMC Royale that needs some TLC.

Bob,
I went with a Gerard tankless water heater about 5 years ago. It is fantastic, it was one of our best interior upgrades. Seems like everybody makes
one nowadays. I'm sure they are all good.
Call me if you need any more info.
Scott.

Bob-

You should of changed the water heater out earlier in your project. The good tankless that is posted on this tread already is good, but lots of
work to make work in most passenger side wetbath floor plans such as my 75 palm beach. You need to cut out sidewall, and does not work well under the
bathroom sink as the oem does.

The best bet is to find a 76-78 oem waterheater and install that. The 73-75 has that square unit and you need to remove it via sawzall or cut out
ir remove back bathroom wall. I cant see how it comes in and out from under bath sink.

The round blue end 76-78 tanks go in and out. You get a good stainless tank, and use all the ends/brackets off the old one.

The other route(like I did). Is a tankless unit mounted behind fridge. That takes care and work to install it safely to vent out fridge roof vent
and get venting to fit without causing fire concern. The units are changing and mostly china made. But costs off ebay/amazon about $100. They
work well, but again install takes some care. These units are not technically meant for use in our coaches.
