I am in the process of replacing manifold and gasket and noticed that the oil dipstick actually went through (under) the manifold. Didnt really look
at it that closely when taking it off but am wondering if this is normal. I was trying to attach a picture but unable to reduce the size of the file

Scott,

Indeed it does in the standard coach installation.

This is just another good reason to check the lube oil level before starting up in the morning. If you have to check it when the coach has been
running a while have a really thick rag as the dip stick (lube oil level indicator) can come out of the tube just at a temperature that is just below
incandescence. (Do I have to add - BTDT)

Thanks Matt, I was wondering if I should disconnect and run it over the manifold I wish I could get the picture to upload

Sir, I also was having issues with getting pictures to post that I have taken with my phone and sending them to my laptop or IPad. I tried different
programs to downsize but could not get anything to work. Finally in desperation I tried to download straight from the phone and it worked. I don’t
know why sending the pics email to myself so I could see and operate more easily would have made a difference but it seems to?

Replace that lower tube as it is oxidized to a point where it will break.
If you have trouble extracting it, call me so I can explain how to pull it
out and put in new.
No your going to have a rough time trying to put in s smooth bend to allow
the oil stick to go in.
Good idea but not worth the trouble and time.

I currently have a short dipstick and tube which require opening the hatch to check the oil, because the tab broke off my dipstick at the weld and
lodged in the tube. I got the replacement from Year One. Colossal PIA to get it installed.
I need the proper tube and dipstick, I propose to harass Bounds and others to see if anybody has one.
