synthetic- grease--crap

Yesterday, I was taking my grease gun (kept beside battery in gen
compartment) out to lub up a few spots.
As I pulled out the gun I held it parallel to myself, with the flex hose
pointing skyward. I felt an unusual sensation on my shin and foot.
Looking down I saw approx 1/2 cup of red liquid had run out on me.

If this stuff breaks down in a tube, why should we expect it to
protect valuable suspension parts.

Am I missing something ???

Could it be that the hydrogen gas environment in the battery compartment
breaks down the grease. I'm sure that Emery will have the answer.

Mike, Tell us the brand of lube the gun contained so that the rest of us may
avoid at least THAT brand.
