Toby,
Yes, but not the monthly one that occurs year-round. This is a once a
year swap put on by the big three Ford clubs in San Diego. Over the
years it's gone well past the original Model A parts meet it started out
to be. It's a full blown stadium parking lot packer with vendors from
all the continental US states showing up. It starts forming up Fri
around noon & runs through Sunday. There is also a "car corral" there
featuring vehicles for sale. 24 Hour security and a SDPD presence.
Great event!
See you there.

Someone mentioned that there might be a number of GMCrs there and I
wondered if I could ask any attending Netters to corral some of the GMC
TZEs for the registry?

Did I mention that I am collecting TZEs and related owner info for
posterity? :) I probably did.

Gene,
The absolute most fun I've had since last year with my clothes on! I
missed Phil Swanson, got to meet Tobi Maki, and looked at every GMC
there. Also found a perfect Olds aluminum Edelbrock intake for a 455
for $60.00. Everyone I talked to but one said they were in the
registry, this one wasn't but called me tonight like he said he would
and gave me the following:
TZE165V100481
Dennis Sweeney
10222 Centinella Dr.
La Mesa, CA 91941
Neat guy. Took one look at Jim Bounds dump system & my homemade
through the bumper hitch & wondered why he hadn't thought of it.
Soooooo simple! Loved the single muffler & I bet Ed Hanson has a GMC in
his bay for a conversion soon. No computer at home though.
Interesting meeting with Tobi Maki. I heard the rest of the broken
torsion bar story. A nightmare with a Cinderella ending, thanks to a
few folks on the Black List. Absolutely no Ramco mirrors for those I
said I'd look for some for. I haven't forgotten.
Love those swap meets!
