Steve,
Supertraps have been around a while. The nice thing about them is the
fact that additional baffles can be added and likewise removed for
"performance" or "noise reduction". I've got a couple of friends who
run them and swear by them. Another nice thing about them is they don't
take up much room, which is why most guys with pro street type cars like
them.

Before I put much money or faith into this "adjustable disc" muffler
system, I'd want to see some independant test results. (Ie: not the
opinions
of someone who just spent several hundred dollars on one.)
My .02.
Rick,
I have a few friends using Super Trapps. Everyone of them uses them
because of their size. Most of the pro street guys have little room
left over for mufflers so Super trapps fill the bill. They kind of
follow the Accel splitfire spark plug method of propaganda. Say enough
great things about any product & folks will believe you. I'm sure that
somewhere around 6,500-7,000 rpm removing a couple of baffle plates will
add something to the dyno readings.
Just blathering,
Steve F.

Steve,
Back in the seventies I bought(so they told me) the first set of
SuperTrapps in the state of Ohio. Put them on a Corvette race car.
We had muffler restrictions at some locations. The horsepower
claims were exagerrations. They were very compact and very
lightweight. Also, very loud!! But they did look very trick and
impressed a lot of people. But loud!! Did I mention LOUD?
