I would certainly like to have copies for reference.....could you e-

Who makes the decision, I don't know......what I know (sorry, Arch)
is that I'd like to get 'em!
Thanks

Hi Larry & Sandy,

Altho I am severely technically challenged and my ugly old GMC seldoms
needs repair, it would seem to be a great idea to carry something like
what you are proposing, with me in the coach in case I meet another GMC
owner who is not as lucky as me! [g]

Thanks in advance.

I have a great intreast in that. I had saved over 3000 GMC related
post. But lost them when I upgraded outlook 98 to outlook 2000.
I'll take any You have.

YES ! ! ! :-)

I'd love to have a compilation like that. I use the archives a lot and
would greatly appreciate some kind of organization of them. That's gotta
be a lotta work.

Thanks a million!

All of the search engines that I'm aware of work best when each message is made a separate HTML file. That should be a fairly
easy task using Patrick's archives.

One side benfit of creating the messages as separate HTML - I can probably make searchable CD ROMs that you don't have to be
web connected to use.

Patrick's archives are a month's worth of email combined into one asci text
file. Wouldn't each email have to be separated/copied, converted/saved to
HTML, and then indexed?

Yep, but Henry tells me he has some Perl programmers at his disposal.
Wouldn't take much of a Perl routine to crack the big text files into
individual html pages. There are several "off-the-shelf" freeware
archive programs, but I think Henry's toying with the idea of a Java
applet. Should be neat.

Stay tuned!
