Suburban heater

Good afternoon GMC net!!!,

Well before tackling my tranny oil/filter change and temp reducing checks
and regreasing all I had another question, I have a Suburban furnace and the
fan is making noise(last trip temps got down in the 40s and thats cold if
your from AZ.) Can the intake/exhaust vents be removed from the outside of
coach by removing outside vent grill?(to remove furnace) Or do I have to
squeeze around inside of coach? I believe the model is a NT-24SP. Just
thought I'd ask, Not much time before next Raider run, So hopefully I can
squeeze all in before this weekend. Thanks for any info!!!

Yeah want to remove Furnace to clean/check Fan(noise) And just wanted to
make sure before removing them old screws(limited time don,t want to add to
the do list). Thanks again

I've got the other one in my 77 Kingsley, but had wasp nests big time inside..
Had to pull the furnace and take off the fan blower and clean it out (hammer raps do the trick) and also the inside of the furnace where the other vent comes in also. (Hammer raps also work but you have to hold furnace up to work the dislodged nest out the vent pipe.) After that it worked great..Before, when I tried it, it almost vibrated the whole coach..Not too bad now, but aux blower is noisy. (I can hear it now!)
Also got some screen patch kits and put the patches inside my vents on the outside to keep this from happening again..
Make sure if you have to disconnect wiring, you mark/writedown/label it so it will work again..

Think I just got a leaf or something simple in there, Just making a light
tapping sound besides the motor/fan noise!! I leave the molded steel
screen(has cover also) attached to my outside vents with heater on or off?
P.O. said not to leave either on when running heater, Guess cause screen
could get blocked while running. But anyway thats the way I do it for now!!

Where'd you get the model # ? Couldn't find a NT-# on the front of mine just
picked a # from paperwork.

There are two fans, the main one and a smaller one that is supposed to
drive hout air a considerable distance to the bath. This one is usually
the noisy one and is located behind and under the oven.

I disconnected mine years ago and haven't noticed any difference in the
bath temp. The water heater does a pretty good job there!

Maybe there is a mouse in there panting as he/she runs his/her little
legs off trying to keep up with your fan! VBG

Hi David,

Mine might not be there or not working, gotta check(smaller fan), but air
flow in back of coach is weak and non existent in rear bed. And thought I
had a special a/c unit in bath. Never used water heater yet, preheat hoses
is disconnected, but water flows thru it. :-)>

Mouse, she was done painting along time ago. Very nice job, If I do say so
myself!!!!!!!! :-)>

Pulled my Suburban NT30SP, The Combustion air fan/wheel, slid out on shaft
/hitting cover , repositioned and a couple drops of glue. Works great.
