My Suburban NT30 SP furnace won't heat for some reason. It would blow
when we first tried it but would never heat. Finally it even quit blowing.
Found a burnt switch in the thermostat, so replaced it. Still no heat.
Local RV supply place says it's usually the IC card. He wants $115.85 for
a new one.

I know it was getting propane and electricity. I'm wondering if any of
ya'll know to check something that I haven't yet. Otherwise, I guess I'll
let him check out this old one tomorrow and probably pay the piper.

Thanks

Don't laugh now, but this same thing happened to me before we left for
Marion. After much discussion about "sail switches", circuit boards
etc., the authorized Suburban Furnace Service Facility Technician
determined that I had a dead spider up my orafice! Ya gotta hate it when
that happens. He reamed it out, and we were toasty and warm in those
cool mountain evenings.

Moral is; don't overlook the simple fixes!

You may also want to take a look at the Intake/Exhasut vents, as they are
wonderful places for mud dauber wasps to nest. Been there before, and the
blockcase was enough to limit the airflow enough to keep the sail switch
from actuating, and thus shutting off the burner.

this in the spirit of looking for simple things, as pulling the furnace out
of the cabinet is not very fun at all.

I'll look for things that don't belong in my orifice if I can find it.

I visuallly checked for mud daubers since that was one of my first
suspisions. Don't see any evidence of em there.

Already have the furnace out from under the cabinet and can't find any
logical reason for it not to be working. I'll let ya'll know what I find out.

Thanks

It turned out to be the Circuit Board alright. :-( I watched the guy
test it on a little gizmo he plugged it in to. The original one didn't
ever spark. The new one sparked real good.

There goes another C note.

But it works great now. At least now, if we ever get a winter, we'll be warm.

Thanks for all the suggestions
