Hi Ed,

Well you know I'm new. But I just removed my Suburban furnace NT-30SP. Due
to fan noise, It was not to bad, Don't know if mine was set right, But just
removed the outside in/out vent, and about 4 screws to heater outlet
ducking, disconnected gas/wires and pulled out, once out just removed screws
and the gas valve to remove furnace cover . My problem was the combustion
air wheel/fan slipped up on shaft rubbing on cover, Just removed the 9
screws that holds cover for the combustion fan, and did my thing with the
wheel/fan and replaced cover. Now on the other side of the motor is the
blower fan I did not really look at it that close except just cleaning out,
But I believe the Blower fan/Motor was also just screwed, I saw 3 screws
behind the combustion wheel / fan that holds motor and 4 screws on blower
housing assembly to the combustion chamber assembly, Might have to remove
the crossover tube also, 4 screws. But not sure!! So take this with a grain
of salt or sugar. >
I was going to take mine all apart to clean,grease/oil, But mine looked real
clean and once I reset the combustion fan/wheel the whole unit spun freely
and smooth. I asked this RV repair place about removal, He said it was
pretty simple????? Also asked about oiling/grease on motor, he said if that
was needed I will need a new motor???????? Hope this helps alittle. If you
do take apart don't forget the new gaskets, You don't want to get gassed
out, or worse kaboom!!! Just my 1/2 cent.

Never took one apart but my guess is that it is a permant magnet motor without
brushes???
