Regarding the lower steering coluum, I just replaced the upper CV
joint on mine. It was worn enough to cause rough spots in the
steering, felt sort of like the over center adjustment on the gearbox
was too tight. Ordered from Cinnabar ($71). I believe they also have
the lower U-joint.
Note that removing the lower shaft assy required removal of upper and
lower clamp bolts completely. They fit through a groove in the shaft.
