In an attempt to drive the coach this morning I couldn't move. Recent past
occasions it was sticky but never left me stranded. Today its stuck in park
and I'm going to have to find other arrangements for a ride. It almost
seems to be in the steering wheel lock area but I'm not sure, Any
suggestion I can read about later this PM? Thanks, Dave, 76PB, CA

If it is the shift cable, one of things that can cause this to melt is that
there is no good ground connection from the starter battery to the engine.
The Shift cable becomes the ground connection for starting and will melt
over time.
