stuck distributor

Ya' know, I bought a can of PB Blaster because I'd heard it was so great.
After going through one can, I went back to aerosol Liquid Wrench. LW just
worked better for me on the GMC, and I've probably used a half dozen cans so
far. IIRC, I picked up the PB Blaster at AutoZone.

Steven, It wasn't stuck too badly. WD-40 and hand operated grunt power
loosened it. Thanks for the reply.

Must be rust and crud where
it enters the block because the gear at the bottom shouldn't be holding
it.
I've found quite a few like that. Usually is varnish build up where the
distributer goes through the block. (In 2 places.) You can use a pipe
wrench on the raised part of the base, It's gonna leave a lasting
impression in the housing though. Sometimes it's the only way. WD
ain't gonna get it!
