Still chasing oil leak

Got a new UV light, ran the rig at idle/fast idle plus until operating temp
was reached. Ran it for 10 minutes, shut it off to let it heatsoak, ran it
for a while longer.

No traces of leak, but I know it does.

Ran this without fan so as not to blow oil around.

Guess it needs a real run. Thinking of options: 1) run in place longer and
perhaps higher rpm, 2) go for a real run around the block or so. I'd still
leave the fan off (have 2 electric radiator fans in case needed for cooling)
so that oil doesn't swirl around.

Any thoughts on this or better ideas/suggestions?

TIA - Heinz

Heinz I notice from the photos at your site that you are running a fuel
injection unit. Have you eleminated the crankcase ventilation system? If
you don't have it,pressure will build up in the pan and heads and blow oil.
Jut a thought.

original engine had a pcv valve connected to the left valve cover and it to
the carb producing a vacuum in the block. I have never tried to modify it
to just a breather so don't know what the effect is. Sounds to me like you
may have a positive pressure in the block. Is your vacuum still good at the
manifold? When you take the breather off can you feel a pressure there?

Have you checked compression to make sure that you do not have a leak?

Just more things to check.

Have not had a chance to check on the Felpro gasket for the intake, however
I know that it is blue(duh) and one piece instead of multiple gaskets.

Hadn't thought about that, thank you.

I changed the ventline (from the left valve cover) to a k&n filter breather
when I did the efi.
Did I miss something else re crankcase vent?
