Have repaired the step and installed a new motor
(use the same one to lift the bed) but one wire
not connected as does not work with key switch.

Would appreciate anyone who email the diagram

Thanks

Ann,
Do you have the electric step that Ken Rose made?
If so I should have a diagram of it as I had one on my coach.

Ken Rose apparently was not entirely satisfied with the micro switch setup
for limiting step travel. He told me several years ago that he was then
using a microprocessor control. Sounded to me like merely a timer, but I
didn't see a diagram.

Whatever step I guess that was originally on the coach.
It swings in when the door is closed and out when you
open it. Right now it is not working on the key switch
he said so it just keeps swinging in and out and not
staying out when the key is off
Hope I have explained this properly
Thanks
Ann
He was so happy when he found out it was the same one he
used for the bed as he wants to use it for the couch also
but too many important safety things first.

GM did not put any steps on the motorhomes. So whatever you have was
an aftermarket item put on by a previous owner.
If you could post a picture of it on the www.gmcmhphotos.com site it
might help some of us to identify it.

If you cannot do that just send a picture to me and I will post it for
you.

Chuck,

That may indeed be the step under discussion. But I think not. This is the
first time I've seen that brochure; I suspect it's for the vacuum operated
step I've got on my coach. The only manufacturer I've heard of for the
electric step is Ken Rose, in Texas. I'd heard that someone in MI made
vacuum steps like mine. The operation description sounds more like mine
even though mine is unfortunately missing the door-open operation discussed.

I don't think either of them is still selling steps.

Oh yeah, Ann: There was NO step "originally on the coach".
