After searching for a leather steering wheel out here for a while, I called
Jim Bounds and ordered a new one. Nice steering wheel. Price was reasonable
as far as I was concerned.

I'll second, third and fourth that. Have have a replacement wheel since trip
to Clasco many years ago. I would imagine its similar.
Sure is comfortable and a nice picture window to the dash.

The steering wheel Jim sells, is original to the Chevy Astro vans from the
early 90's. I've had one since 94 and really enjoy it.

As to "other" ones that will fit, contact Bob McCarthy,
carljudi Usually at every GMCMI convention, Bob can be
found both selling and installing replacement steering wheels on individuals
coaches.

Can anyone tell me which years Oldsmobiles steering wheels will replace
the steering wheels that came standard on the GMC MH's. I'd like to get
rid of the one I have and get a nice leather bound steering wheel with
smaller spokes in order to see the instrument panel better. I plan to visit
some junkyards, but I need to know which years will fit without any
modifications.

Contact Bob McCarthy on the net. He sells used steering wheels. I added
one of his and it not only looks right good, but I can see the panel a
whole lot better, too....and his wheels are cheaper than new.

Hr usually sells them at the Int'l rally flea markets.

Steering wheels come from front wheel drive Olds from 1982 to about 1990.
About that time on some models they began to add air bags, cruse controls
etc.
Wheels in good condition are becoming very hard to find

Wheels from this period from Buick and Pontiac will fit ,but for us they
lack the Olds emblem.
