Steering Wheel Nut

Justin,
The steering gear for GM was produced by Saginaw Steering Gear for decades. Several suggestions here:

Go to the Men’s mall and select an 70/80 donor and remove the nut and it should fit.

Go to a GM dealer parts department and ask them for one.

Maybe Jim K will have one.

Loosely related funny note. I was searching for something in my shop a few
months ago when I came across a bag of upper steering hardware. Assuming it
was leftover from a custom GMC motorhome column project I discarded it(I no
longer have a GMC). Several months later I went looking for the upper
steering parts for an old Nissan forklift project I've been working on and
could not find them. Next came the wave of dread as I realized I had thrown
them out thinking they were GMC :(

Sully;
Along the same line, I removed my back bumper from the GMC.
I have all the bolts and brackets but can not find the bumper.
How could I lose something that large?

And heavy!

Ha! Isn't that how it always goes. I've thrown away so many necessary things when doing spring cleanings. They seem worthless in the heat of the
moment when I've been cleaning for hours!
"Screw it I haven't used it yet I don't need it!"

Usually I need it within a week.

There is definitely something worse than YOU throwing away really scarce
and useful "stuff". And that is, when your kids come over to "help you"
clean up that workshop that they consider a wretched mess, and throw away a
whole bunch of "good stuff" and "organize the rest of it", so you can never
have a clue where they put it. That happened to me. I wouldn't wish that on
anyone.
