Call and ask Jim Bounds, 877-275-4462 (free call). Let us know what he
says.

Subject: GMC: Steering Linkage Bushings

Does anyone know if they make an overhaul kit or just have the bushing for
the the steering "Idler Steering Arm"?
Checked the price on the idler arm and its a big $120.00. I have slight
play in the bushing and would like to change it. Bushings for the steering
relay lever are only $8.00 a piece and can be purchased from Cinnebar.

An alternative is to machine a new bushing for the idler arm , the question
is what is the bushing made of-brass or bronze? I can machine one myself.

If you are going to machine your own bushing try Bearing Sales Inc.. They
have "Oillite" bushings in a variety of sizes. Maybe even the correct size.
I've seen stranger things happen

P.S. About time for a L.S.R. up date. I'll try to put together a
comprehensive report this weekend.
