The Caspro price is $535, so your friend may not have gotten stuck, if it
was a Caspro or equivilant unit.
I'm quite happy to pay the Caspro price based on past experience with
Caspro, as in no complaints. The steering box I'm replacing is also a Caspro
and has served me well for 10 years plus. That one was represented and sold
as a rebuild as at the time no new was available.
Of course I have no proof that what I have now is indeed a NEW unit, other
than to take the salesman's word for it, but what the hell... gotta trust

"shell" would be same for all.

Yup, mine too.
Unfortunately the barcoded partnumber got rubbed off during shipping.
I won't be installing it until after my next trip so we'll have to wait a
little longer to see if there is much diff from old to new.
