Hi all!
My memory and my Computers memory both failed.
Is the Statpower 40 the one Wes has been describing? Does this replace our
old units, or do we still need inverter or charger? Is the remote Panel a
wise addition?
thanks

It takes the place of your old buzz box. remote panel is excellent and lets
you know how much battery capacity is remaining.

Wes advocates the TrueCharge 40+ because it has a few additional features.
Sorry, other than the additional battery bank charge circuit I don't
remember the differences between the 40 and 40+. I tmay be the equalization
feature though.

The unit replaces the existing charger.

I like it since it permits me to monitor the unit while sitting in the
dinette area (I installed the panel in the galley area)

The only differences between 40 & the 40+ is that the 40+ can do 3
battery banks and will charge AGM batteries. The color varies. The 40
is still a go buy for about 201 dollars US.

Tom,
Mine is black too! I was picturing the inverter in my mind
when I wrote that message.

I also used 6 AWG wire to wire the TC40 and not the 4 AWG
I wrote. I used 4 AWG for the inverter installation.

You guys sure pay attention to this stuff I have to be careful
what I say.
