Starting to get ready for IOWA

My wife has decided that she wants to go to the Forest City GMCMI Rally. We
have never driven that far in an automobile, much less a GMC Motorhome.

We are going to head on down to see Zeb Frady on Thursday to see if he will
'Bless' our '74 for the trip to Iowa. If we get 'Blessed' I guess we will
need to 'spit-shine' the old bus - since this is the year of the 1974.

We will want to pull into Forest City lookin' good and hopefully not behind
a wrecker.

I got a special dispensation from my wife. She is going to Florida in
the Winter with her sister and therefore I'm free to go to the Forest City
Rally with my GMC. I hope to see many of you there during my first ever
GMC Rally.

Heck I was only 120 miles from there when traveling to and from
Kansas City last week. The GMC knows the way now!

I'm going also. Plan to leave Kalamazoo at noon time on Friday Sep 24th.
Two others will join me in Hammond IN. On to Davenport IA to spend the
night.

Tim and Richard, are you up to convoying together with us also??

Paul,
I'd love to do that, but I usually go to High School Football games on
Friday nights in the Fall. Have been doing that for over 30 years now.
I had planned on leaving very early Saturday morning. I know I'll miss a
game the following Friday.

I'll have to check the schedule, maybe the game that night won't be
a good one and one I won't mind missing. It would be fun to be in
a convoy of GMC's. So I would have to leave here about 9:00AM
to make sure to meet you in AZO at Noon.

How about Tim? Let's see what his plans are.

Being a new owner, what are the dates. Will drive up if
on a weekend, only 185 miles away, plus need to talk to
some folks with some knowledge.

Jim:

You don't have to pay $260 for two days. GMCMI has "day passes" you can
purchase by the day.

Paul and Richard,

Man, I'd love to caravan with you folks, but Saturday nights in the
restaurant biz are problematic. I'll probably not leave until Sunday
morning, so save me a spot. I hope I'll make it in time for the flea
market!

BTW, Steve asked about the dates. (9/26 - 10/2) Details can be seen at;
http://www.gmci.com/nextfall.htm

Patrick, are you leading any bull sessions at this convention?

Anyone interested in joining the convoy leaving Friday, Sep 24th from
Michigan going to Forest City via I-80 through Illinois? Staying overnight
in Davenport IA.

So far there are four coach's involved.

We will be leaving NC around 6PM on Friday night. Anyone in this area want
to get together?
