I will be attempmting to call Classic in the next couple of days. If
I do this I would have any one interested get in touch with my contact
there and deal directly with them. I will post it when I get a chance.
I am pretty sure they have a web site and if so we could all gang up on
them with email and get them excited to do the project. May drive down
cost some if we let them know how interested we are and just how cheap
we can all be,(grin).

Just a couple of thoughts about using stainless steel brake lines:
1. The master cylinder, proportioning valve, hose connections and rear=20
wheel cylinders are all made of steel, not s.s.. Will this cause any
type of dissimilar metal condition to be created ?
2. If for some Murphy's law reason a s.s. line gets broken on the road
is any repair shop going to successfully be able to repair it ?
3. A check of the parts book shows " prior to serial # " & " eff. w/ =
serial
# " , does this mean that gm used different part #'s or were the actual
lines different ? If one observes the present routing of the lines it =
would
appear there are some very tight areas these lines are fastened and a=20
slight change could create a problem.=20
4. The original steel lines, for the most part, have lasted 20 some =
years,
and should probably be replaced.=20
5. Will the performance of the breaking system be improved by using s.s.
lines vrs. using steel lines?
Please DO NOT misunderstand the above I'm just trying to justify in my
own mind the double or more cost of using s.s. lines.
Thanks for being patient with me. TIM
