Speedo Question

Hi everyone-

Quick question- can anyone tell me how many revolutions per mile the GMC
speedo is calibrated for? Thats to say, how many times the speedo cable
must turn to record one odometer mile or 60 mph over a minute;

To the best of my knowledge, all GM products with mechanical speedometers
were 1000 revolutions per mile; I don't know of any exceptions.
