I got my speed sensor from Howell.
I just looked and I don't see it listed separately, but it is shown in
the photos of some of their kits. I suspect if you called them they
would sell it separately.
It goes in line with the speedometer cable so the mechanical speedo
continues to work.
One issue I had with the speedo sensor was I suspect the switch (reed
switch) in the sensor developed a nasty switch bounce. This caused the
speedo on the EBL WUDisplay to bounce all over. That wasn't the
problem... the engine would cut out. The noisy pulses would cause the
EBL to think the vehicle had hit the Overspeed setting and kill the
engine. Randy VanWinkle alerted me to a filter parameter that cleans up
the pulses, and all is good again.
