Special note!!
If the dump valve handle does not lock, use something (anything) to restrain it at the closed position.
Without that lock, the valve can get shaken enough to leak a lot more and then you get the surprise when you try to uncap.....
(Do I have to add the BTDT?)
After that, I used ty-wraps to hold it until I could make proper repairs.
And yes, I my case, the extension rod had backed out of the coupling nut as mentioned above.
