Paul,

I installed a MSD #8682 Adjustable Timing Control. It's an easy
installation with no wire cutting necessary. I cannot tell you how well it
performs because I have not even started the engine since the installation.
A member of our local GMC Chapter has been using one for years and is happy
with the results. Last summer I tried 10 degrees advance, then 12 degrees
without a problem so I thought more control over the timing would be worth a
try. I intend to install MSD's Detonation Sensor - sorry don't know the #.
I'll pass on the # next week. It gives both a visual and sound warning of
spark knock in graduated levels before the old ear hears anything.
