Well guys,
The bad news for today that in spite of all the opposition, IL and TX
have both adopted vehicle scrappage laws. This does have an effect on
our hobby (GMC's). These programs are similar to ones we have in CA and
they are very corruption riddled. Take a good look at what's
happening.......lobbyists for smokestack corporations have actually
convinced states that crushing older vehicles in exchange for pollution
credits for the companies crushing them will improve air quality. This
type of program was so successful for UNOCAL here in CA that the company
had to start an additional division, ECOSCRAP. They now buy, sell and
trade these emission credits between major corporations.
It will only get worse from this point on.
Regards,
Steve
