Morning,

we will be in the US again mid July to mid August, and want to pickup
these new style cockpit windows for a friend in Germany.

Anyone know of a source that has these locally available? We will be
travelling from Charlottesville, VA to New Orleans, and will probably
hit Florida as well.

I couldn't find anything on the COOPs website.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Peer,
The windows are available from Jim B and Jim K. I think that Jim K is doing the marketing for the windows. You can see the info here.

Jim Bounds at Co Op in Orlando, Fla. would be your best bet - to my knowledge!

Face it, Coop or Applied cannot List All the parts we carry.
We stock about 90% of the parts and list only 80%
There are times we use Coop as a source for parts and also others as we gr
along.
Coop and Applied order the windows together so we can keep inventory
reasonable.

Thanks guys.

So, if I want to pick them up at the Coop, I'll somehow need to get
intouch with Jim B. Hopefully, he likes reading email messges :-)

Anyone know the packaging size of these? The plan is to take them back
with me on the plane. Probably not as carry-on luggage but as bulk
luggage. But I need to know size and weight of the whole package.

Peer,
I finally got out in the shop and I would suggest a 36” X 36” X 6” (91.4 CM X 91.4 CM X 15.2 CM)as a good size to pack them with the proper packing maybe bubble wrap. That would be for each window assembly and they would weight about 25# (11.34 KG) packed in each box. Mark them fragile glass! Insure them for full value.

Thanks. Is that the size, the glass came in, or did you pick up the
glasses? It might be possible to build a support box, but the original
packaging material would probably be best.

Thanks for the size anyhow, as that will help me decide what to do.

If needed, a good source for boxes sized like this is a local Best Buy or similar electronics store. Folks often take their new TV out of the box to fit it in their vehicle and leave behind the box.
