Getting closer. Hitch is installed, Toad has brackets and I'm just waiting
for towbar, brake kit , etc.
I'm a total newbie when it comes to towing a Toad on all 4's.
I'm making some assumptions and would appreciate confirmation and/or
corrections.
1) Standard Tranny in neutral ( I'm pretty sure I have this one right
2) Ignition key so that steering is unlocked ( kill anything that uses
battery power )
3) don't back up
4) ???? what did I miss?
With reference to backing up, what little material I've found, says don't.
Does that carry over into reality or are short backups possible and ok? I
mean the overshoot at the gas pump type distance.
Anything hints, gotcha's, etc you'd care to share will be greatly
appreciated.
I'm going to use the P&E Tow-Me RV mounted towbar and their Safe-Tow braking
system. My Toad is a Mazda Protege.
