Solar Article for RV's

There are at least three of us that regularly read RV Travel. I like Mike's pieces and this one was no exception.
Without it as a target, he pretty clearly shows that before you get much power out of solar a 23' coach would be out of roof and the current battery
space would be hard pressed to contain even an effective LiFePo4 bank.

While I do like to dream, When Mary hits the lottery, I may just take out the Onan and the LP tan so I have room for batteries. It is either that or
buy my Mr. Fusion just after they are introduced.

Billy,

He does not show a picture of his battery bank....

What you also may have missed (unless you looked closely at a few pictures) is that I already have a lower profile roof A/C and it just makes it
thought my barn door. It was the lowest and I believe still is, but it is a Carrier and NLA. I have complete confidence that his coach will not fit
in my barn. Hence, if he lived here it would have to stay out in the snow all winter.

Then there is the available capital issue. He seems to have surplus and we do not and now never will.

My 23' had two Siemans panels and a charge controller which kept the house battery up when parked. I park it powered, so the 12V supply kept the
engine battery up. Never had a problem with either. I doubt two panels would run much beyond a few lights but to keep the battery hot it was fine.
