So what did you do to your GMC today?

Test-fit three 55W solar panels into the small blank spaces left on my roof after the initial 900W installation. Everything fits (with minor trimming of flanges of roof vents). They aren't shade-capable panels, so they will probably only kick-in at the peak of the solar day.

Test-fit StarLink standard antenna in the last available space on the roof. It has to mount East/West, so I will need a flat-mount kit. Hopefully, that doesn't make the antenna too big for the tiny space. If it does, then the antenna will be ground-deployed only. It's that or mount it to the top of the A/C unit.... 🤣

We drove from western Wisconsin, "over the top'" of Lake Michigan to Traverse City, towing a 91' Honda Civic and back through the UP with only one concern. Broken wire on the TV antenna. Pretty much a trouble free trip. Gas was cheaper than I thought along the southern Superior shore. Color just starting to turn and the Lake was beautiful. What a trip!! Went home because we ran out of clean socks and underwear.
 
Working on getting some of the window shades and valences.....well at least the door for now.....and the lower cover.
Trying to bring some colors back since the PO took away the green.

Pretty much a trouble free trip. Gas was cheaper than I thought along the southern Superior shore. Color just starting to turn and the Lake was beautiful. What a trip!! Went home because we ran out of clean socks and underwear.
Larry...There are things called "laundromats" along the way. That's a poor excuse! ;)

Yesterday, I re-sealed my driver's side, rear window -- YEAH black RTV! We have had a lot of rain this summer, and I discovered that I had a small leak from that window in the rear lounge. We had more rain last night. I just went in and checked the rear lounge. No leaks from the window. I'm thinking I nipped this one in the bud.
 
Just got home from visiting my daughter at college with the gmc. Very nice campground right on the Mississippi that is less then 5 minutes from campus.

I have been running the GMC quite a but this summer and finally my gmc is getting upset.

On Drive home, we had a sewer ”incident”. The p-trap on the shower broke and roads were windy and hilly enough to cause the “incident”. So I have to fix that asap.

And my kitchen upper cabinet is falling down. So I better figure out that as well.

But we had another weekend of a full camper. 4 of us one night, then 2
More guests slept in the gmc saturday night. 5 drove home in it.

We completed a 2400 mile trip from Tucson, AZ to Fredericksburg, PA. Lots of bad weather and rain along the way, but no other problems. Towed the Tracker, camped at mostly state parks, COE parks, or Harvest Hosts locations. Stayed over in Branson, MO. for two nights, went to the Titanic Museum and saw "David" at the Sight and Sound Theater (INCREDIBLE).

No issues with the coach at all. We'll be here for about 2-1/2 weeks before heading down to Delaware for a couple of nights, then back home to Tucson. The states with the highest gas prices seemed to have the worst roads. Seems wrong for some reason. :)
 
Just returned from a 1600-mile trip from Southeast Wyoming to Helena Montana. First long distance in the 77 coach. With 403 engine and 3.4 final drive the coach ran without any issues. Drove through the Big Horn Mountains from Buffalo, Wy. to Worland, Wy. Had to down shift several times to second and twice to 1st to complete the drive. Ran into snow covered road for a half mile.
Had to monitor the fridge temp as temperature started to run a bit high. Disconnect the thermistor so unit ran at 100% of time and temps stabilized. When I got home, I installed a circulating fan that I had purchased three months ago.IMG_0009.webp

Wanted to post this but ran out of time before trip to Montana. Installed frosted window covering on door for privacy. Sometime in near future I want to install screen door and not have window shade interfere when closedIMG_0010.webp.

I finally got the slime out of the compartment. I found out where is was binding up. This unit is now safely stored it my garage. It was a deveil of a job to get to this point. I will make some improvement before I will reinstall it.

Now I can get out the 2nd Lithionics battery. Ut Oh! There is another strap down in the back of the battery that is a bitch to get to.

I have the batteries back and the good news is that they are as good as new. They have also provided the missing IonBus cables at no cost.
I am now ready to reinstall the batteries and wire up the 51.2vdc system.
On the left is the valved lpg connection that was installed to power the dual fuel portable generator. I am going to leave it in place.
On the right is the feed going to the rear lpg compartment for the 51.2 vdc circuit breaker panel for the (2) mini-splits.
In the right rear is the very difficult to access tie down strap when the battery is moved into the compartment.

One battery is almost in place and I am going to have to rotate it at least 90° to the left to access the rear tie down strap.
Ain't going to be easy!
Good thing that I bought these lift tables. The batteries weigh 175 lbs.

Finally moved my "experimental" battery/inverter system from the hallway to its permanent location under the rear bed (left space for a third battery if needed). Inverter mounted, batteries positioned (straps to be installed later), and buss-bars mounted/wired. Now to permanently mount the two solar MPPT controllers currently "floating" on the floor (EDIT: mounted!), run DC wires to the house fuse-block, and run heavy Romex (bought 8ga, should have bought 6ga) to the breaker-box.... Everything is an experiment until it works reliably for a few months. Then I clean it up and make it permanent. 🤣

The AC 50A auto-transfer switch will go in later (I hardly ever need shore power anyway).

"New" front seats ordered/received; Honda Odyssey 2018-2025 2nd-row w/integrated seat-belt/harness. I currently have 2009 Odyssey seats with the associated seat-belt/harness mounted to the floor and wall structure. I prefer the integrated belt solution. Plus, my driver's-side retract-er mechanism has failed....

Unfortunately, while the seat mounting mechanism is similar in design, some of the measurements are different between the years, so I will have to have some metal fabrication done. It's always something.... 🤣
