I am still looking for a design / example of how to make the original bunk
bed couch slide out so that the rear of the cushion is even with the folded
up back.

I know folks out there have done this, and I think there is a market for
bolt-on brackets to do this.

Any one know where I can contact someone who has done this?

about 8 inches of couch is wasted under the back because it is folded
double. If the seat will slide out, it will be much more comfortable and
wider... No reason to waste the seat.

Only when parked.... I wanted to push it in while traveling. I hope I
don't have to cut off the old ones just bolt on the new ones.. Will be
hard for since you don't have a model.

The reason I ask is that I had to make brackets to slide my couch out on my coach.
The company I got my couch through said that the couch could be up tight to the
wall and still fold down to make a double bed. Not likely. I had to make brackets
to enable my couch to slide out 6" from its travel position so that I could make
the bed. With a little modification, I don't see why it wouldn't work for your
application. Did you want it permanently out or only when parked? Darren

Ah yes Grasshopper. But I will be in Rayne. Lots of models there. What a
concept, Models at the GMCMI rally. Darren

Gene,
Ton Hampton of Grandview Motorcoach in Marysville, Ohio
has such a set-up in his personal coach. I'm sure he will be in
Rayne in the commercial section. It's a real simple set-up.
The only reason I haven't copied it is a desire to make it more
complicated and prone to problems. Not too smart at times.

I will not be there sadly,

I think you told me this once before, I will try and reach him on the
phone, I guess they are not on the net. I think the simple answer is the
right way to go. It should be easy, just all the things I think up look
too complex.

thanks

I sure hope so. Should be done that by the end of Feb. Little problems here and
there I need to take care of first. Darren
