Anybody using these? A friend who was following me said mine are very dim.

These units look nice. My coach had already been converted to the "new style" taillights so I just swapped in these red LED bulbs (yes it's best to use red bulbs behind red lenses): https://m4products.com/1157-g12-red-pair-1157-brake-and-tail-light-dual-intensity/. I'm sure they'd work with the original taillights too. They're quite a bit brighter than incandescent but not blinding. Note, I don't actually have a reflector around my bulbs, it's just gray metal, so much of the light that is seen from behind the coach is coming from the end of the bulb.

Mine has the “new” style as well, but both are cracking and missing chips at the edges. Time for a little modernity.

i’m thinking about LED headlights as well. The Portwagon has already been modified for rectangular headlights, don’t know if that means I can use the less expensive bulbs from Applied. Anybody know the difference, one is more than twice the other?

I tried adding aftermarket LED tail lamps inside my tail lights. I found the GMC lens made the LEDs go dim. The LEDS didn't line up with the prism thingies in the GMC tail light lens and caused the light to scatter (I don't know what they call the individual focusing elements, so I feel find calling them "thingies").
So instead I just got a pair of red 1157 LEDs and they work perfectly. .. brighter than regular 1157 bulbs.

I changed the backup lamps to 1156 LEDs, white in colour and they are much brighter than OEM.
