I just finished installing the Fan-Tastic vents, and would like to thank
last week's posters that mentioned using masking tape and Popsicle sticks
for containing and forming the bead. I've used lots of sealants through the
years, but this is the first time that I've really been pleased with the
visual finish outcome. It looks very professional, and actually requires
less product than the old convex bead approach I'd used. And proper spacing
of the tape did not require use of razor blade for removal.

Thanks again - you guys are a great resource. I just wish I'd read Tom's
post about neoprene couplers before I'd glued my macerator plumbing together
3 hours earlier!
