Patrick's instruction says we're supposed to send an email to majordomo to
subscribe or unsubscribe. I always figured those who sent their message to
the news list were either wasting their time or being accommodated by the
ever vigilant Mr. Flowers. Recent comments make me think the instructions
may be a bit out dated and that the filtering software is detecting the
terms and making the changes. Since many of us change status when we
travel, may we assume (yea, I know) we can unsubscribe by using that term
in a regular post? (Come to think of it, if the GMCnet mail stops when I
send this I'll have my answer.)

Dave,

It's automatic only in that I barely need to even command my fingers to
type the commands. I figure it takes less time and effort to perform
this service than it would to continually chide those that forget how
it's done.

Hi Patrick,

I just had an experience that you may find interesting. I just posted a
message, hit "send" then immediately hit my "check mail" button. Got my
new mail notice and lo and behold, my message was already back
here!!! Took all of 30 seconds round trip - unbelievable!

Cheers,
Marion Hope

Little wonder the feds are trying to tax the internet / email. They're
handling less and less mail.

Thanks Rick,

Believe me, it's a pleasure!
