Greetings all!
Just walked in from getting that drain out. No
damage to anything else.
Just needed to get my mind right. And
application of the right tool. Only the drain tool
for $8 at Home Depot -- not the expensive one --
sorry.
There was enough of the cross piece left to get
a bite. Persuaded with a 16" Crescent wrench,
and there just wasn't much fight left in it.
Thanks to all for the suggestions and tips.
Replacement should be no sweat.
As for the "crunchy" shower pan floor, while I
was under there, I noticed a piece of 3 X
support wood was loose and falling over.
Hammered it back into place, tried out the floor,
and no crunch. Now that I know how to get under
there, I like the idea of the urethane foam for
support. But not tonight.
I finished with the shower drain with enough
time left to check out a few lights that didn't
seem to work -- some of them in the instrument
panel. I'm convinced that sometime during
Creation Week, the Lord decreed that "Verily,
man that I have created shalt not work behind
his GMC instrument panel with fat American
hands. He who tempteth the Lord who has
created both thee and thy GMC shall surely
come away bearing scars of regret and will
surely bear them until the time to repent for thy
trespass is come."
But at least all the lights work now.
Later!
