I am still trying to find my short but no joy yet. I am stopped at trying
the continuity tester at the inlet cable. According to Bob Hendrickson's
GMCES presentation with the coach circuit breakers off ,and the generator
off, the continuity between the round ground pin and the chassis should be
no resistance but I am getting very high resistance. The wiring diagram
from the maintenance manual shows a connection from the plug to the
ground bar and the ground bar is grounded to the frame thus the high
reading . Has anybody else run into this?

Why are you checking your incoming 120 volt cord, etc. when your 12 volt
engine system is not working? THE ABSOLUTELY FIRST THING THAT YOU SHOULD
DO, is to verify the condition of your batteries, their state of charge,
and the condition of your battery cables. Then follow the 12 volt circuit.
The engine battery is NOT CHARGED from your power cord normally. Only your
House Batteries are. UNLESS THE CIRCUITS HAVE BEEN TAMPERED WITH. That will
give you a place to start.

If you have the OEM electric water heater, or any water heater with an electric element, check the heating element from both connections to ground.
When the element burns out, it frequently leaks and water enters causing a current path to ground. Turning OFF the water heater will not clear this
path. You would need to disconnect both wires on the element (and insulate them) to clear this current path between neutral and ground.

My Staff says I never listen to them, or something like that

I went back and read your old post. There we were trouble shooting 12V ststems and now you are on 120VAC. I think your confusion is that on a 76
there are 3 systems. 12V engine , 12V house, and 120VAC house. Please restate your problem so we fan steer a diagnosis.
