Shipping GMC to Europe- where to start, how to plan ?

Retiring in 18 mos. Hope to persuade the bride that she can retire too. We'll have two boys under our roof for another 4 years.

I am planning some EPIC family travel before they leave the nest.

Considering the idea of a road trip around Europe in the GMC. Apparently, you can go more places in your own car rather than a locally sourced
rental.

I know we have a few members across the pond, I'd love to hear from them.

Also, what spare parts ? in the US I'd carry a starter and the usual repair material, figuring that anything else i need can be sourced in a couple
days.

If i was having to deal with a 10 day delivery time, plus shipping cost, customs etc, I'd carry a lot more stuff.

Good idea.

The delivery time for stuff isn't as bad as you think it might be, but
after being stranded with a broken starter a few weeks ago, yes, you
should have one. And it is cheaper to get it in the US.

I would not get anything else, but that is just me. Make sure someone
went over the coach.

I've shipped my 23' from Baltimore and it took a couple of weeks. After
that I drove it around with US tags for a couple of weeks (and had
insurance from Tour Insure Hamburg for a couple of month)

You will find US car parts places all around Europe. There is a WhatsApp
group and some Facebook groups for GMC MotorHomes in Europe as well.

Make some calls to brokers fast....shipping to anywere right now is very expensive (ie..inflared) and long waits....this Cov*d stuff has caused a
